CAIRO – Egyptian Water Resources Minister Mohamed Abdel Aati had talks on Monday with Tajik Ambassador in Cairo Zarobiddin Kosimi on means of enhancing co-operation in water resources and irrigation.
Abdel Aati underlined the importance of exchanging expertise between Egypt and Tajikistan in the water domain.
He also highlighted the importance of preparing a memo for all proposed cooperation domains between the two countries.
For his part, the ambassador hailed the great leap realized in the Egyptian water mechanism over the past few years, referring to the good ties between the two countries.
He reviewed his country’s preparations for the Dushanbe water conference which is due to be held in June. Abdel Aati is due to attend the event on behalf of Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli.
They reviewed an action plan of the Water and Climate Coalition. Abdel Aati highlighted Egypt’s contribution to the coalition and Egypt’s keenness on addressing the challenges facing the African continent.
