STOCKHOLM — Minister of Water Resources and Irrigation Hani Sewilam highlighted the importance of cooperation between Egypt and Sweden in a number of domains, especially non-traditional water resource.
During a meeting with Swedish Minister of Rural Affairs and Infrastructure Andreas Carlson, on the sidelines of the World Water Week activities, held in Stockholm, the minister reviewed Egypt’s expansion in treating and reusing water, in light of water scarcity, along with groundwater management in coastal areas, as well as Cooperation in the field of training and capacity building of cadres working in the water sector.
The two sides took up ways to enhance cooperation between Egypt and Sweden in the field of water resources management, with a view to serving the agricultural sector, achieving food security and studying frameworks for exchanging experiences between the two countries.
