CAIRO– Egypt’s Minister of Water Resources and Irrigation Hany Sowialam has stressed that current development works in Siwa Oasis aim to find radical solutions for problems that have been lasted for more than 30 years.
The minister’s remarks came on Friday at a meeting with a host of key officials from the Irrigation Ministry to follow up on current development efforts in the oasis.
Such problems are linked to agricultural sanitation and some wells in the oasis, Sowialam said.
The minister also reviewed procedures taken by the Irrigation Ministry to upgrade bridges, wells and springs in the oasis.
