Egyptian Irrigation Minister Mohamed Abdel Aati asserted that Egypt pays big attention to the Global Alliances for Water and Climate (GAfWaC) and works on rallying international support for the coalition at all international conferences, citing the 9th World Water Forum held in Senegal in March, Middle East and North Africa Climate Week held in March in the UAE and the 5th Cairo Water Week due in October in addition to COP 27 due in November.
This came during the participation of the irrigation minister virtually in the meeting of the committee of the leaders of the GAfWaC held as part of Dushanbe Water Conference hosted in Tajikistan.
Egypt supports the outcome of previous meetings of the alliance via adopting a working plan that was presented in the last meeting of the alliance in March, he said.
