CAIRO- The Irish Embassy in Cairo said on Tuesday that it will celebrate the Saint Patrick’s Day at the Giza Pyramids plateau.
The embassy shot a short movie at the Pyramids area featuring a musical performance by Irish musician Micheal O hIarlaithe in the presence of Irish Ambassador in Cairo Sean O’Regan.
Ashraf Mohie El-Din, the director general of the pyramids area, said the movie will be broadcast on the Irish TV on March 17.
Saint Patrick’s Day, or the Feast of Saint Patrick, is a cultural and religious celebration held on 17 March, the traditional death date of Saint Patrick, the foremost patron saint of Ireland.
