The meeting came as Pezeshkian entered the third year of his presidency, with Iran still grappling with the consequences of what authorities call the “Third Imposed War.”
The two leaders reviewed recent developments in the conflict and challenges facing the country, according to the report, which gave no details on specific military issues discussed.
They also examined measures to protect livelihoods and ensure access to essential goods and services, state media said.
Particular attention was paid to managing national resources, including the rial, foreign-currency reserves and the energy sector.
Pezeshkian and Khamenei also discussed Iran’s economic and trade relations with other countries, according to the report.
State media did not announce any decisions or new military or economic measures resulting from the meeting.
