The International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) has invited Minister of International Co-operation Dr Rania el-Mashaat to its headquarters in Rome to review the successes of the fund’s projects in Egypt.
News of the invitation came through the Egyptian Ambassador to Italy Bassam Rady during his meeting on Monday with the minister.
The invitation comes within efforts to mobilise resources to increase the fund’s capital and in the context of the national platform NWFE launched by the minister in water, food and energy.
IFAD, which is also the financial partner concerned with food security projects, received widespread attention during the COP27 World Climate Summit in Sharm el-Sheikh last November.
