Egypt’s Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade Mohamed Farid Saleh underlined the need to strengthen cooperation with the Federation of Egyptian Industries (FEI) to support the national industry, boost production and enhance the competitiveness of the national economy.
During a meeting with FEI Chairman Mohamed Zaki el Sewedy, both sides discussed ways to promote joint efforts to support the industrial sector and strengthen Egypt’s economic competitiveness.
The minister highlighted the importance of closer coordination between the ministry and the federation to improve the investment climate, stimulate industrial production and increase Egyptian exports to global markets.
The meeting also tackled ways to improve the business environment, address challenges facing investors and manufacturers, support supply chains and deepen local manufacturing to achieve sustainable economic development.
The two sides also reviewed a proposal to study the establishment of specialized investment funds to finance industrial projects and provide sustainable funding to help factories expand and increase production.
