Egypt’s Investment Minister Hassan El Khatib has underscored the need to stick to the new visions of joint Arab action to realize the goals of Arab summits and cement development cooperation.
The minister’s remarks came on Saturday during his speech at the meetings of the 114th session of the Arab Economic and Social Council (AESC), which are chaired by the United Arab Emirates and held at the headquarters of the General Secretariat of the Arab League in Cairo.
El Khatib also shed light on important issues discussed during the meetings, namely the support of Palestinian economy, Arab food security and Arab trade and investments.
The minister also had a meeting with Lebanon’s economy minister Amin Salam on the sidelines of the council’s meetings to follow up on issues of common interest.
They discussed ways to strengthen economic and trade ties and increase exports and trade exchange between Egypt and Lebanon.
