CAIRO – Egyptian Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade Hassan El Khatib on Wednesday underlined the importance of establishing partnerships with Tunisia in all fields, topped by trade and economic integration.
His statements came during a meeting with Tunisian Ambassador in Cairo Mohamed bin Youcif who conveyed to the minister a message from the Tunisian Minister of Trade and Export Development Samir Obaid as part of efforts to develop the two countries’ relations.
They discussed economic ties and reaffirmed the importance of the convocation of the joint trade committee and businessmen forum on the fringe of the Egypt-Tunisia committee meetings.
They agreed on holding the sixth session of the joint trade committee in April in Tunisia.
For his part, the Tunisian envoy expressed his country’s desire to cement economic cooperation with Egypt, saying he reviewed with Khatib projects being carried out by Egyptian companies in Tunisia.
