The International Forum on the Future of Education and Human Rights Education in the Arab Region opened in Cairo on Wednesday.
The forum is held in partnership between the National Council for Human Rights, the Arab Network for National Human Rights Institutions (ANNHRI), the Arab League, the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR), the Arab Institute for Human Rights (AIHR), and the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO).
The objectives of the forum are to introduce the 2022-2026 Arab plan for human rights education.
Attending the conference are Vice-President of the National Council for Human Rights Mahmoud Karem, the Council’s Secretary-General Fahmi Fayed, as well as representatives of a number of ministries, institutions and governmental bodies, and representatives of a number of Arab countries (Qatar, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Kuwait, Iraq, Jordan, Palestine, Tunisia, Algeria, Morocco, Libya, Djibouti, Mauritania, Lebanon, and the Sultanate of Oman).
