Egyptian Minister of International Co-operation Rania el Mashat conferred with Executive Vice-President of European Commission Frans Timmermans on partnerships between Egypt and the European Union and efforts exerted to boost the transition to the green economy in addition to future steps taken to support the national platform of the projects of green programme of Nexus of Water, Food and Energy (NWFE).
This came during the meetings of the 77th round of the UNGA.
During the meeting, Mashat lauded the fruitful co-operation between Egypt and the EU and efforts in the field of developmental co-operation.
The meeting tackled joint work to support the national platform of the green programme of NWFE.
Mashat said that the national platform includes a group of projects varying between the fields of adaption and easing repercussions of climate change under the umbrella of the national strategy of climate change COP 27of 2050 that was launched recently by Egypt.
