Mrs. Intissar El Sisi, spouse of Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah El Sisi, said she is proud of the successes achieved by the national initiative Dawwie in empowering women nationwide.
Dawwie is a national initiative engaging girls and boysin activities that help them express themselves and accept diversity and equality while fostering engagement from their families and communities, thus changing the way society sees and talks about girls.
In a recorded speech in the closing ceremony of the initiative, Mrs. El Sisi said, “Today, we celebrate the remarkable progress in the file of girls’ empowerment, which is important and close to my heart, and which receives special attention from the Egyptian state.”
She added that Egyptian girls are the leaders and pioneers of the future and that investing in them is an investment in building a brighter future for the country.
Mrs El Sisi also said that Egyptian girls have always proven that they are up to the level of confidence and responsibility, and perhaps the launch of the Dawwie initiative is one of the most important development projects that Egypt is witnessing In its contemporary history.
