EGYPTIAN International Co-operation Minister Rania Mashat asserted on Wednesday that Egypt continues to work with the United Nations organisations and UN World Food Programme within Egypt’s 2022-27 plan aiming at reaching national strategy and 2030 sustainable development goals to support the strategic sectors as well as providing energy and food.

This came during the opening session of the 1st round of the Food Security Symposium organised by the WFP and International Co-operation Ministry within global efforts to face consequences of the climate changes and global food security.

During the symposium, Mashat reviewed the government’s efforts to face the consequences of the Covid-19 and the Ukrainian crisis.

Meanwhile, WFP Deputy Executive Director Manoj Juneja hailed partnerships with the Egyptian ministry that aims at enhancing food security in Egypt, contributing to providing food security and facing consequences of climate changes in order to eliminate hunger and providing sustainable solutions for various development sectors.
