CAIRO – Interior Minister Mahmoud Tawfiq asserted that police has set unique example of sacrifices and loyalty to maintain the state’s pillars and counter any attempts to manipulate the state’s fate.

The minister’s remarks were made Monday at the graduation ceremony of a new batch of the Police Academy in the presence of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi.

Addressing the ceremony, Tawfiq said today marks a precious moment in the lives of a galaxy of Egyptian youths who are fully aware of the purpose behind the duty they will perform as part of the police troops.

He voiced pride that the graduation of such a new batch coincided with the 49th anniversary of the 6th of October war victory, which he described as a symbol of the Egyptians’ ability to make history.

Tawfiq also saluted the Armed Forces personnel who are “the nation’s shield and sword” and highlighted the importance of solidarity and integration among the State’s security wings in pushing forward the national action towards achieving the targets of the new republic.
