Egyptian Industry and Trade Minister and CEO of the Micro, Small, and Medium-sized Enterprises Development Agency (MSMEDA) Nevine Gamea said on Wednesday that Aswan governorate is considered one of the most important governorates that benefited from the agency.
She added that LE1.13 billion were pumped in the governorate in the past seven years.
The agency funded about 58,000 small and micro-sized enterprises with a cost of LE592 million that provided about 75,000 job opportunities especially in the most needy villages.
She noted that the agency had also provided technical and service support and training courses to build the capacity of youths to meet the work market requirements.
The minister also said that the agency had pumped about LE77 million in 11 months in 2021 to fund 2,3000 enterprises in Aswan governorate within the Decent Life presidential initiative in which they provided about 4,000 job opportunities
