Indian Minister of External Affairs S. Jaishankar will arrive to Egypt on Saturday on a two-day official visit at an invitation from Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry.
This is the first visit by the Indian foreign minister to Egypt, the Indian embassy in Cairo said in a statement on Thursday.
Jaishankar will hold talks with a number of officials to discuss bilateral and regional issues of mutual interest.
He will also be meeting with Arab League Secretary General Ahmed Abul Gheit and members of the Indian community in Egypt including a number of Indian students.
The visit is an opportunity to review all aspects of bilateral and multilateral ties in addition to exchanging points of view with the Egyptian leadership on a number of issues of mutual interest, the statement added.
