Today on 15th August 2021, India celebrates its 75th Independence Day.To commemorate this historic occasion, Government of India has launched “AzadikaAmritMahotsav”India@75, whichis a series of events to be held globally. It was inaugurated by Hon’ble Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi on 12thMarch 2021 and shall continue until 15 August 2023. While inaugurating AzadiKaAmritMahotsav (AKAM), Prime Minister asserted that AKAM means elixir of energy of independence, which draws inspiration from the freedommovement.
Embassy of India in Cairo, is planning to organize various activities to celebrate AKAM. As a part of these celebrations, theEmbassy shall illuminate the Cairo Tower with Indian National Flag from 6:00 PM to 1:00 AM on 15th August 2021.
