Egyptian Housing Minister Assem el Gazzar held an expanded meeting on Tuesday to review work progress at a project to develop the Greatest Transfiguration over the Land of Peace in Saint Catherine city in South Sinai.
The minister urged construction companies tasked with implementing the project to act to quickly complete it and make sure that work is of high quality.
The political leadership is directly following up this project, he told them.
Upgrading this site is meant to protect and improve the area, as well as preserve the natural environment and heritage, the minister made it clear.
The project, he added, aims to show the site in a way that highlights its unique nature worldwide.
