Housing Minister Essam el Gazzar received an invitation from the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan to attend Astana International Forum in June.
This came during his meeting on Tuesday with Kazakh Ambassador to Egypt Khairat Lama Sharif to discuss means of boosting bilateral cooperation in the urban development field.
Gazzar reviewed the most important features of Egypt’s urban experiment since President Abdel Fattah El Sisi took the helm, citing the establishment of new cities and urban communities and the construction of roads and axes to reach new development areas.
He also posted him on securing housing units for all segments of the society and eliminating unsafe slums and developing historic Cairo.
For his part, the Kazakh ambassador lauded Egypt’s urban experience and what has been achieved throughout the Egyptian State in a record time, particularly the establishment of the New Administrative Capital.
