Egypt’s Speaker of the House of Representatives Hanafi Gebali held a meeting Wednesday with visiting Romanian President Klaus Iohannis.
During the meeting, Gebali praised deeply-rooted relations between the two countries and voiced Egypt’s keenness on boosting cooperation with Romania in the parliamentary field.
He also stressed the importance of coordinating stances between the Egyptian and Romanian parliaments at international forums.
For his part, Iohannis praised the positive momentum currently witnessed by the Egyptian-Romanian relations at all levels.
After the meeting, Gebali took the Romanian president on a tour of an exhibit established at the House of Representatives to mark the 115th anniversary of the launch of diplomatic relations between Egypt and Romania.
