Egyptian Speaker of the House of Representatives Hanafy el-Gebaly visited Pope Tawadros II of Alexandria and Patriarch of Saint Mark Diocese at the Papal HQ Thursday to extend Christmas greetings.
He stressed that religious feasts are meant to show tolerance and unity among Egyptian Muslims and Christians.
He prayed to Allah to protect national unity in Egypt under President Abdel Fattah El Sisi.
Pope Tawadros greatly appreciated Gebaly’s visit, which, he said, reflects love and peace among Egyptian citizens.
