CAIRO – Egypt’s House of Representatives resumed Wednesday general sessions under Speaker Hanafi el-Gebali to debate a draft law submitted by the government on the general planning of the state.
The parliament will also discuss a report on a government draft law to merge the Fund to Improve Egyptian Cotton into the Cotton Research Institute, an affiliate to the Agriculture Research Centre.
The report is prepared by the agriculture, irrigation, food security and animal wealth joint committee, in co-operation with the parliament’s Industry and Energy Committee and the Plan and Budget Committee.
Also, MPs will put their final vote on a number of draft laws, including a general unified economic planning law, as well as a number of draft laws related to the finance, energy and higher education domains.
