CAIRO – Egyptian Minister of Higher Education Khaled Abdel Ghafar asserted Egypt’s keenness on enhancing co-operation ties with South Korea especially after the establishment of an Egyptian-Korean College for Industrial and Energy Technologies in Beni Suef Technology University.
These remarks were made by the minister during his meeting on Monday with South Korean Ambassador in Cairo Hong Jin Wook at the ministry premises.
During the meeting, Abdel Ghafar praised the project of establishing the Egyptian-Korean College for Industrial and Energy Technology and described it as an outcome of the fruitful co-operation between the two countries.
He also underlined the importance of benefiting from the Korean expertise in the technological field as well as other specialisations such as technical education, vocational training and qualifying students for the labor market.
The Korean ambassador, on his part, praised cooperation with the Egyptian Space Agency in the field of space and technology sciences, asserting that the space sector is a very important one.
The two sides also addressed means of beefing up cooperation in the coming phase with the start of study at the technological college in Beni Suef in the coming academic year.
They also covered means of working out more deals and agreements between the two sides to encourage joint researches in the fields of education, space and information technology.
