Egypt’s Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Ayman Ashour Wednesday discussed with Saudi Ambassador in Cairo Saleh bin Eid Al-Husseini ways to enhance cooperation between the two countries in the fields of higher education and scientific research.
During the meeting, Ashour affirmed the depth of relations between Egypt and Saudi Arabia.
He referred to Egypt’s constant commitment to advancing and strengthening these relations by expanding joint cooperation agreements in all areas of higher education, scientific research, technology, and innovation.
Ashour reviewed the major expansion achieved in Egypt’s higher education system, which allows for multiple vistas of cooperation with the various branches of Egyptian universities as well as foreign university branches.
The minister pointed out to the interest of Egyptian universities in establishing partnerships with reputable international universities and offering modern academic programs that meet the requirements of local, regional, and international labor markets, in line with the goals of the National Strategy for Higher Education and Scientific Research.
He also pointed out to the development of Egyptian university institutions to meet global levels and standards.
The meeting discussed mechanisms of cooperation between Egyptian and Saudi universities.
Both sides expressed their aspiration to strengthen the existing partnership in line with the ambitions of the two brotherly countries.
