Egypt’s Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Ayman Ashour emphasised keenness on forming strategic alliances with different industrial sectors throughout the coming period, with the aim of bridging the economic gap between the exports and imports, promoting the path of economic development and supporting the national economy.
The minister made the remarks during a meeting with the council of research centers, institutes and bodies, in the presence of Deputy Minister for Innovation and Scientific Research Hossam Othman and other officials at the headquarters of the Higher Education Ministry in the New Administrative Capital.
Ashour underscored the role of research center and institutes as a pillar for achieving sustainable development in Egypt.
The minister hailed major efforts of Egypt’s research centers and institutes as well as remarkable leap achieved in linking the scientific research to the industry.
Ashour asserted the importance of attaining integration between research institutes and industrial entities, with a view to turning the outcomes of the scientific research applicable projects contributing to pushing forward economic development and reducing exports.
