The 12th edition of the Egyptian Heritage Products Exhibition kicked off in Cairo yesterday.
Launched under the slogan ‘Buy Egyptian Art’, the exhibition runs for three days at the Cultural Centre in Al Jazeera Sports Club in Zamalek.
Organised by the Foreign Ministry in co-operation with a large number of other agencies, including the National Coordination Committee on Combating and Preventing Illegal Immigration and Human Trafficking, the exhibition comes within keenness by the Foreign Ministry to spread awareness about the dangers of illegal immigration, Foreign Ministry Spokesman, Ahmed Abu Zeid, said.
He added that the event is also part of state efforts to create jobs for youth.
Abu Zeid noted that the Foreign Ministry would utilise the capacities of Egyptian embassies and consulates abroad to market Egyptian handicrafts in other countries.
The Foreign Ministry holds the exhibition on an annual basis, also in collaboration with the Social Fund for Development.
The exhibition has turned into an interactive platform between youth working in the fields of handicrafts, on one hand, and the foreign diplomatic community, on the other, on the road to marketing the products of this youth outside Egypt.
