About 92,000 surgeries were performed in Egyptian health insurance hospitals during the first quarter of 2023.
In a statement on Wednesday, Health Ministry Spokesman Hossam Abdel Ghaffar said over 47,000 surgeries were conducted under President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi’s initiative to end waiting lists.
This brings the total number of the surgeries performed under the initiative to 700,000.
About 6.882 million primary school pupils were examined as part of President Sisi’s initiative for the early detection of anemia, obesity, and dwarfism.
