Egypt’s Health Minister Khaled Abdel Ghaffar said Wednesday that all hospitals in North Sinai are completely secured and on highest alert.
Forty ambulances have been deployed at the Rafah Terminal as part of preparations to receive injured Gazans, the minister said in a meeting earlier today.
He also probed arrangements at the hospitals and health facilities in North Sinai with senior Health Ministry officials, said spokesman Hossam Abdel Ghaffar, adding that they aim to offer the best medical care for the Palestinian patients.
The minister made sure that medical personnel and equipment are available at hospitals in the governorates of Arish, Baer el Abd and el Sheikh Zuwaid, Abdel Ghaffar noted.
The spokesman added that hospitals will be receiving 81 injured civilians and patients from Gaza, noting that this would be the first group to cross the Rafah Terminal for treatment in North Sinai.
