Egyptian Minister of Health and Population Khaled Abdel Ghafar presented a copy of the National Population and Development Strategy (NPS) for 2023-2030 to President Abdel Fattah El Sisi following the launching of the roadmap for tackling Egypt’s population issue that aims at enhancing the living conditions and the quality of life of Egypt’s population.
This came during the inauguration of the Global Congress on Population, Health and Development (PHDC 2023), which kicked off Tuesday morning and runs till Friday, under the auspices of President Sisi.
In statements, Abdel Ghafar said the national strategy has been outlined in light of the sustainable development objectives, Egypt’s vision for 2030, and Egypt’s constitution, the National Strategy for Population and Development, and the National Project for Development of the Egyptian Family.
It is based on the following key axes: economic empowerment, services provision, cultural and educational awareness programs, as well as digital transformation, he added.
