Deputy Prime Minister for Human Development Affairs and Minister of Health and Population Khaled Abdel Ghaffar on Thursday held a meeting with his three newly-appointed deputies after taking the oath before President Abdel Fattah El Sisi.
The meeting with the deputies aimed at outlining plans of action and top priorities of files assigned to each deputy, through field action and presence among service providers and beneficiaries, said Ministry of Health and Population Spokesman Hossam Abdel Ghaffar on Thursday.
The file of population and human development is among the top priorities of the political leadership, the minister said.
The minister has assigned Dr Mohamed el Tayyeb to oversee the file of governance, monitoring, follow up and institutional development, the spokesman said.
Meanwhile, Dr Amr Kandil was tasked with the supervision of the prevention and primary health care file, the spokesman added.
During the meeting, the minister underscored the importance of coordination and harmonisation among health sectors, in order to achieve Egypt Vision 2030, the spokesman wen on to say.
