Egyptian Minister of Higher Education and Acting Minister of Health Khaled Abdel Ghaffar inspected on Tuesday the quarantine centre at the Luxor International Airport.
The tour came as part of the minister’s follow-up of the medical insurance plan ahead of the inauguration of the New Rams Road in the Upper Egyptian governorate, slated for on Thursday.
Abdel Ghaffar said the airport was supplied with an additional three medical teams in line with presidential directives to increase the number of quarantine workers at all entry points of the country.
The quarantine centre includes a clinic, which was provided with a sufficient stock of emergency medicines and medical supplies to receive emergency cases and provide them with the best medical service 24 hours a day, he noted.
The minister also inspected the ambulance station at the airport, which includes three well-equipped ambulances.
