Egypt’s Health and Population Minister Khaled Abdel Ghaffar commended efforts exerted by the International Finance Corporation (IFC) in cooperation with the ministry to support and develop the health sector in the country.
Abdel Ghaffar underscored the importance of expanding cooperation between IFC and the ministry and developing partnerships between the public and private sectors in order to develop the health system and the services offered to Egyptian citizens.
The minister’s remarks came at a meeting with the Global Director for Health & Education at IFC Farid Fezoua and IFC’s Director for North Africa Cheick Oumar Sylla and their accompanying delegation Saturday.
The meeting discussed ways of promoting cooperation and action plans as well as implementation rates in joint projects, which are carried out by the ministry and the corporation in accordance with the goals of Egypt Vision 2030.
Spokesman for the Health and Population Ministry Hossam Abdel Ghaffar said the meeting tackled joint strategic plans to attract local and international investments on all fields of healthcare in the country.
