CAIRO – Egypt’s Health and Population Minister Khaled Abdel Ghaffar asserted that his ministry is exerting utmost efforts to help Palestinians affected by the ruthless Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip through offering urgent medical care to injured Gazans arriving into Egyptian territory via Rafah crossing.
His remarks came during an online session held by the World Health Organization Regional Office for the Eastern Mediterranean to discuss the humanitarian crisis in the Palestinian territories.
The minister said that in line with directives of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi, Egyptian hospitals are receiving more and more critically injured and sick Palestinians every day, noting that the admitted cases include children with cancer and dialysis patients as well as those suffering from chronic diseases.
He urged the international community to support the Palestinian state and Palestinians in the war-battered enclave and take more measures to provide urgent humanitarian aid to them.
