Deputy Prime Minister for Human Development and Health Minister Khaled Abdel Ghaffar conferred with Saudi Health Minister Fahd bin Abdurrahman al Jalajel and Kuwaiti Health Minister Ahmed el Awady on means to boost cooperation in the health sector.
This came during Abdel Ghaffar’s separate meeting with both ministers on the sidelines of the 4th Global High-Level Ministerial Conference on antimicrobial resistance (AMR) hosted in Saudi Arabia.
Spokesman for the Health Ministry Hossam Abdel Ghaffar said that the meeting tackled exchanging expertise and visions between both countries in addition to the health files in them to contribute to implementing the strategies that achieve the vision of each country to improve the health system.
Egyptian and Saudi ministers discussed expanding in the field of investment in the health sector in addition to cooperation in the fields of digital transformation of the health services, comprehensive health insurance and safety of patients, the spokesman said.
The meeting tackled the Egyptian-Saudi cooperation opportunities in the fields of localizing pharmaceutical industries and vital cosmetics, he said.
Both ministers asserted the importance of sharing successful health experiences via holding groups including cadres from both countries to exchange expertise and achieve the biggest joint benefit, he added.
The meeting with the Kuwaiti minister tackled the possibility to exchange expertise in the different domains of health sector especially fighting diseases, the spokesman said.
The meeting discussed fields of cooperation in training doctors in the different specializations, he added.
The meeting also tackled exchanging expertise in the field of media, health culture, information and health pamphlets, he said.
