Minster of Health and Population Khaled Abdel Ghaffar Tuesday issued directives to carry out instructions of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi on setting up a new hospital at the New Administrative Capital (NAC).
The new hospital seeks extending the scale of medical services provided to people, the minister said, hailing the quality of medical services offered by the already existing hospital at NAC.
The minister made the remarks while chairing a meeting of the General Authority for Health Insurance – at the premises of the Health Ministry in the NAC – to discuss the draft budget for the fiscal year 2024-2025, as well as the strategy of the authority to enhance medical services provided to citizens.
He issued directives to Mohamed Dahy, head of the Health Insurance Organization (HIO) to upgrade Ras El Hekma Central Hospital, in collaboration with leaderships of ministries concerned, through forming a committee to assess the status of the hospital and submit a report in this regard to the minister of health.
