“Guardian of the South-2” military exercise concluded

CAIRO – Egypt and Sudan on Friday wrapped up their military exercise dubbed “Guardian of the South-2” at the border guard training fields.

The military training included a number of lectures and practical exercises to enhance the troops’ capabilities and ability of using modern devices and techniques for securing borders and combating smuggling and illegal migration.

This is the second year in a row for Egypt and Sudan to hold the “Guardian of the South” exercise. The first Guardian of the South drill was held in October 2021.
