Dr. Ahmed Al-Tayeb, Grand Imam of Al-Azhar, has postponed all scheduled engagements for Tuesday after being diagnosed with a severe cold.
According to sources within Al-Azhar, the decision was made based on medical advice from his personal physician, who recommended a minimum of three days of complete rest to facilitate a full recovery.
The temporary suspension of the Grand Imam’s engagements has resulted in the rescheduling of several key meetings that were set to take place.
Al-Azhar officials have extended their best wishes for Dr. Al-Tayeb’s swift recovery, emphasizing their confidence in his return to his duties once his health improves.
