Grand Imam of Al Azhar Sheikh Ahmed el-Tayeb mourned the death of the moroccan child “Rayan” who was trapped in a well despite painstaking rescue efforts to save him.
In a statement Saturday night, the grand imam voiced his sincere condolences to the child’s parents, Moroccan King Mohammed VI, the Morocaon government and people, supplicating to God Almighty to grant his family patience.
Rayan Aourram, a five-year-old boy who captivated the world, was pronounced dead Saturday night.
The little boy died before rescuers were able to reach him and retrieve his body. (MENA)
