The Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM) will introduce a new timed-entry pre-booking system for visitors starting Sunday, 16 November. The announcement comes as part of ongoing efforts by Egypt’s Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities to enhance service quality and improve the visitor experience at Egyptian museums.
The new system requires all visitors to book their tickets in advance for specific time slots via the official website. This change aims to streamline visitor flow, reduce congestion during peak hours, and ensure a comfortable and safe environment, reflecting the GEM’s status as a leading global destination.
Museum management encourages all guests to adhere to their allocated entry times as stated on their tickets and to familiarise themselves with available time slots on the official website.
Furthermore, starting 1 December 2025, ticket purchases for the GEM will be available exclusively through the online platform, including weekends and official public holidays. On-site ticket sales will be suspended until further notice.
