Egypt adopts a modern strategy for developing and upgrading the higher education system, to make it compatible with the international standards, the cabinet media center said Friday.
The multi-axes strategy aims at improving the education system, raising the levels of competitiveness, linking the education systems with the labor market in various fields, in addition to the expansions in establishing new universities and diverse academic programs and attracting prestigious and renowned international universities to open campuses in Egypt, it added.
The strategy is expected to enhance Egypt’s ranks in the international gauges, specialized in the academic domain, it added in a recent report.
The report elaborated that the developing higher education process has gained unprecedented focus and interest since 2014, as expenditure on the academic services has been witnessing increases, soaring to EGP 75 billion in 2020/21, up from EGP 25 billion in 2014/15.
