The Cabinet’s Information and Decision Support Center (IDSC) unveiled the outcome of steps taken by the Egyptian government to avoid plunging into a food crisis by providing strategic stockpiles and expanding local production of strategic commodities.
That came in an infographic, which was published by the IDSC under the rubric “Egypt invests in increasing its production of agricultural crops.”
The infographic expected an increase in the production of a number of agricultural crops.
Local corn production rates are expected to reach 7.5 million tons, wheat 9.7 million tons, grains 21.9 million tons and meat 2,265 tons by the end of 2022.
