Egypt’s Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, Karim Badawi, has underscored the strategic importance of Egyptian Projects Operation and Maintenance Company (EPROM) in managing and operating petroleum refining, petrochemical, and infrastructure projects with high efficiency and advanced technologies.
Speaking during the company’s general assembly, the minister highlighted EPROM’s specialised capabilities and highly skilled workforce, describing its human capital as a key competitive advantage underpinning future growth.
Badawi stressed that the company’s long-term trajectory hinges on sustained investment in its workforce, directing the rollout of a comprehensive training strategy encompassing both technical and administrative disciplines. The initiative, he noted, is designed to strengthen employee capabilities and support the company’s expansion plans both domestically and internationally.
For his part, Hossam Assad Hosny, Chairman of EPROM, reviewed the company’s 2025 performance, pointing to exceptional financial and operational results. The company recorded its highest-ever net profit at LE1.586 billion, up from LE1.096 billion the previous year, representing a robust growth rate of 44%.
EPROM also maintained a strong safety record, achieving more than 70.1 million safe working hours without injuries, reflecting its adherence to the highest operational standards.
Operationally, the company delivered solid performance across key projects, notably the expansion of the MIDOR Refinery, where 49.2 million barrels of crude oil and condensates were processed, underscoring EPROM’s role in enhancing refining capacity and efficiency within Egypt’s energy sector.
