Minister of State for Military Production Mohamed Salah Eddin Moustafa met on Friday the employees of Helwan Engineering Industries Company (Military Factory 99), one of the companies affiliated with the ministry.
A number of senior officials from the ministry and the National Organisation for Military Production attended the meeting.
The minister reviewed work progress done by the Military Factory 99 and encouraged employees to work hard to achieve higher productivity rates, in a way that contributes to improving their living conditions.
He issued directives to the officials, engineers and technicians concerned to expedite the implementation of current projects to be finished on schedule and as per the highest global specifications and standards with a view to meeting the demands of the Armed Forces and taking advantage of surplus production capacities.
Minister Moustafa said that it is important to engage in manufacturing more civil products including stove cylinders and regulators, fire extinguishers, stainless steel tableware and kitchen utensils.
He said that the Military Factory 99 is taking part in the implementation of a number of national development projects, including a project to develop dairy collection centres nationwide in co-operation with the Ministry of Agriculture.
Minister Moustafa stressed that the factory has production lines in parallel with international production lines, adding that workers are trained at the highest level.
Following the meeting, the minister of military production inspected an exhibition at the Helwan Engineering Industries Company, which includes a series of civilian products, manufactured as per the highest global standards.
