CAIRO – Egyptian Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli asserted the keenness of the government on swiftly finishing the different projects related to drinking water and sanitation to be operated to improve the level of services presented to the citizens especially sanitation projects in the Egyptian villages.
This came during Madbouli’s meeting on Tuesday to follow up the implementation of projects of potable water and sanitation in Egypt in presence of Minister of Housing Sherif el Sherbini, Deputy of Housing Minister Sayyed Ismail and Chairman of Holding Company for Drinking Water and Wastewater (HCWW) Mamdouh Raslan.
During the meeting, Sherbini made a presentation including the strategic goals of the sector of drinking water and wastewater and its future plans, pointing out that work is underway to expand the integrated project of the presidential initiative “Decent Life” in this sector and increase water desalination stations in addition to building the capabilities of the workers in the sector of drinking water and wastewater at all its employment levels and activating participation with the private sector in implementing water-related projects.
Sherbini highlighted the projects implemented by the National Authority for Potable Water and Sanitation due to be finished in June including 14 potable water projects with a total capacity of 250,000 cubic meters daily and 12 sanitation projects with a total capacity of 73,000 cubic meters daily in addition to 25 sanitation projects in rural areas.
