Minister of State for Military Production Salah Soliman Gomblat received Chairman of the Arab Organisation for Industrialisation (AOI), Mokhtar Abdel Latif, on Tuesday to discuss ways of strengthening co-operation across a range of manufacturing sectors.
During the meeting, the two sides reviewed several proposals aimed at expanding industrial collaboration between the Ministry of Military Production and the AOI.
Among the key topics was the possibility of establishing a partnership between the ministry, the AOI, and a Chinese company to manufacture fireworks and pyrotechnic products. Officials said the project could help develop Egypt’s capabilities in organising advanced fireworks displays while also opening new export opportunities for these products.
The talks also explored expanding the project to include modern entertainment technologies, such as night-time drone light shows and daytime coloured smoke displays.
For its part, the AOI chairman expressed interest in co-operating with the ministry’s Unified Procurement Sector to secure raw materials and production equipment required for AOI factories.
Gomblat highlighted the long-standing co-operation between the Ministry of Military Production and the AOI in defence manufacturing, stressing that the partnership will continue to expand across various industrial sectors.
This collaboration comes in line with directives from President Abdel Fattah El Sisi to maximise the use of the advanced manufacturing capabilities of both institutions in both defence and civilian industries.
