CAIRO – The Cabinet’s media centre has denied reports about recycled oil bottles being sold on the markets though not fit for human consumption.
The Centre, in a statement Monday, said it had contacted the Supply Ministry to verify the news and was informed that such information was baseless.
All foodstuffs, including vegetable oil, sold on the markets, are safe and sound, the Ministry said, assuring they are fit for human consumption.
The food commodities meet all standards and are regularly monitored in all phases of production and distribution, the Ministry stressed.
