CAIRO – In partnership with the Egyptian Agriculture and Land Reclamation Ministry and the “Farmer” company, the German Agency for International Co-operation or (GIZ) announced it will kick-start carrying out “Ebtekar” (innovation) programme to support the agricultural sector in Egypt.
In a press release Thursday, the agency said the programme aims at supporting and empowering start-ups which offer innovative services and products to support the agriculture sector in Egypt and boost entrepreneurial talents in this vital sector.
GIZ added the program also aims to offer digital, agricultural solutions by using the internet of things, smart agriculture and vital technology along with robots, drones, satellites, enormous data science, artificial intelligence technology, water agriculture, programming, logistics solutions and e-stores.
