The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces and Minister of Defence and Military Production, General Abdel-Maguid Saqr, on Sunday went on an inspection tour of one of the country’s airbases. Accompanying him during the tour were Chief-of-Staff Lieutenant General Ahmed Khalifa and senior commanders from the main branches and other high-ranking military officials.
The inspection aimed to evaluate the combat readiness and operational capabilities of the Armed Forces. During the tour, General Saqr was briefed in detail on the combat tasksand training activities carried out by Air Force personnel, which are designed to achieve peak operational efficiency and preparedness for assigned missions.
The minister watched a simulation of fighter aircraft training and conducted an inspection of an air squadron to review pre-flight procedures and preparatory activities. He also discussed with some Air Force combat crews the techniques they follow in planning and carrying out their missions.
Also during the tour, Gen. Saqrvisited an exhibition showcasing multi-role aircraft and advanced fighter jets. He then met a group ofAir Force personnel, conveying to them the greetings and appreciation of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces.
In remarks during that meeting, the defence chief underscored the commitment of the Armed Forces’ General Command to advance training systems available to the Air Force with a view to enhancing the qualifications of pilots, engineers, and technical crews. He further highlighted ongoing efforts to integrate advanced technical support systems, ensuring the Air Force remains on the highest degrees of preparedness to protect Egypt’s skies under all conditions.
General Saqr urged Air Force personnelto intensify their training efforts and fully leverage available resources to maximise operational efficiency, thereby enabling the Armed Forces to maintain the capability to protect the state’s borders across all strategic directions in light of the rapidly evolving regional and international challenges.
