Minister of State for Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates’ Affairs Soha Gendi asserted keenness on coordinating with different bodies to facilitate remittances from Egyptians abroad.
She commended efforts exerted by Egyptian expats to support national economy and provide hard currency, in addition to increasing remittances.
The minister was visiting the main office of Banque Misr in Dubai city on Thursday as part of her second foreign tor of the UAE, accompanied by a delegation of the state institutions.
The tour is aiming to get acquainted with services offered by the Bank to Egyptian expats.
She praised constant coordination to offer all services to the bank’s clients including Egyptian community members.
Gendi hailed distinguished banking performance of national banks and efforts to foster economic and financial ties between the two countries.
In turn, CEO of Banque Misr in UAE Khaled el Bialy said branches of the bank in UAE are a channel of communication between the Egyptian economy and economies of Gulf Co-operation Council countries in general and UAE market in particular.
